On Saturday, fire company members loaded up on Engine 54, Engine 54-1 and Ambulance 54-1 and headed to the Londonderry Elementary School for the May Fair.

Today around 14:50, County dispatched the 81-2 box for an accident with injuries on 283 Eastbound near the turnaround. The engine went enroute and once they arrived on scene, they handled with patient care until the ambulance arrived.

Incident Date: Sunday, April 29 2012
Today around 1250, County dispatched Tanker 54 to transfer to Company 47's (Union Deposit) station since they were on a working barn fire in Grantville. Tanker 54 went enroute to the station. A few minutes later, County advised Tanker 54 to head to the scene of the barn fire as well. Tanker 54 upgraded their response to class one. Upon arrival, Tanker 54 dropped a load of water into one of the port-a-tanks already set up. After dropping off the water, the Tanker headed to the North side of the Hollywood Casino where the fill site was set up. Tanker 54 dropped three loads of water for a total of 9,000 gallons. Tanker 54 was then released from the scene.

Incident Date: Saturday, April 28 2012
County dispatched the 54-5 box at 17:39 this evening for a single vehicle accident with reported entrapment. Cheif 54 (Shellenhamer) quickly arrived on scene and reported there was a vehicle that collided with some trees and the driver was to still be inside. Shortly after dispatch, Rescue 88 and a crew of 6 on Engine 54 went enroute. Upon arrival, both crews from Rescue 88 and Engine 54 went to work on removing the trees from around the vehicle to gain access. A fire protection line was also pulled from Engine 54. Crews removed both doors of the vehicle to gain access to the driver. Crews removed the patient and was then transported to the hospital. Before the tow truck arrived, crews went to work on removing some more of the trees around the vehicle so the tow truck driver could easily access and pull away the vehicle. Crews cleaned up and went available shortly after the vehicle was removed. Captain 54 (Naples) remained on scene until the owner of the dog, that was found unharmed on the drivers lap, arrived on scene to pick it up. Great job to the crews involved.

Incident Date: Friday, April 27 2012
Tonight, as crews were cleaning the station, County dispatched the 54-1 box on Route 283 at the Tollhouse Road exit heading westbound for a report of a brush fire. Captain 54 (Naples) went enroute quickly and county advised that there were numerous calls coming in for smoke in the area. Engine 54-1 went enroute soon after. Captain 54 arrived on scene and found that a truck had lost an drive axle and was pulled off the highway about 300 feet down from where he was. He advised Engine 54-1 to pull ahead of him to search the area for any hot spots. Engine 54-1 crews found the axle and continued up the highway to investigate the truck and advised there was oil all over the engine, which was smoking lightly. Tanker 54 arrived and found a small hot spot and extinquished it. Crews were on scene for about 20 minutes until the box was placed in service by command.
