Ambulance Involved in Crash While Responding
November 5

Ambulance 54 was dispatched to a residence in the twp @ 19:10, Ambulance 54 enroute eastbound on Route 230. Truck westbound crossed into eastbound lane. Ambulance 54 struck the truck on the ambulance's front drivers side, near trucks passenger front tire. Truck spun back across westbound lane, coming to rest facing north 5 feet off the road, Ambulance 54 came to a stop in the eastbound lane, still facing east. Driver & passenger of Ambulance 54 were restrained & airbags did deploy. Both were self extricated. Both driver & passenger of pickup said they had seatbelts on. Both self extricated. Ambulance 54 crew and the truck passenger went by ambulance to HMC. Ambulance 54 crew was released shortly thereafter. Truck passenger was still there when we left.

Accident on East Harrisburg Pike
November 8

Company 54 dispatched to the 1700-blk of E Harrisburg Pike for an accident with injuries. Engine 54 arrived to find a single vehicle into a telephone pole with the driver self-extricated. Crews secured the vehicle and SCEMS transported the driver to a local hospital. Units on scene for just under an hour.

Boat Call and Tanker Assist
November 17

County dispatched Box 54-7 for a boat in distress in the area of the dam. Cumberland County Company 100 (New Cumberland River Rescue) advised they were already on the water and were checking the area. Company 100 found nothing and advised Command. The box was placed in service.

While Units were returning from the Boat call. County Dispatched Tanker 54 for a car fire on Box 76-1 (PA Turnpike) to replace York County Tanker 68 which was out of service. While enroute the Tanker was placed in service by command, car was just overheated.

2 Accidents for the Day
November 18

County dispatched Box 54-1 for an accident with injuries 283 east bound on the exit ramp to Toll House Road. Captain 54-1 Dupler arrived and held the box to Utility 54.

County Dispatched the 76 Box for an accident with injuries. Captain 54- 1 Dupler held the units at the gate. He arrived on the scene and with no need for fire and placed the box in service.
