Tanker and Engine Take In Another Barn Fire
In Lancaster County

January 3, 2009

County dispatched the Tanker around 18:30 to assist the Bainbridge Fire Company in Lancaster County with a barn fire. As the Tanker (Chief 1 Nissley) went enroute Chief 7-1 hit for the second alarm bringing the Engine (Captain Kandrac) as well. The Tanker arrived and nursed multiple engines before being added into the water shuttle and dumping 6 loads of water. The Engine arrived and staged with the manpower going to work and the engine setting up for lighting. Command marked control and placed the engine in service. The Tanker remained on scene for a couple of hours later until released by command. The Tanker made it back to the station with no blown tires!

Early Morning Crash
January 10, 2009

Around 02:30 this morning, County dispatched the 54-4 box to assist Pennsylvania State Police with an accident at South Geyers Church Road under the railroad underpass. Chief 54-1(Nissley) went enroute and County advised that PSP needed the fire company only to assist at an accident. Chief 1 arrived and PSP advised that they needed traffic control at a vehicle accident. Engine 54 arrived and secured the power to the vehicle and applied oil dry on fluids on the roadway. The vehicle was removed by Dailey's Towing and the box was placed in service.

Tanker Run to Lancaster
January 18, 2009

Today County dispatched Tanker 54 to assist Lancaster County station 7-4(Elizabethtown) with a working construction trailer fire. The tanker with 8 personnel arrived and assisted crews with overhaul.


Tanker and Utility Assist to A Townhouse Fire
In 48's First Due Area
January 24, 2009

County dispatched Tanker 54 on the 48-4 box for a reported townhouse fire. Tanker 54 arrived and the crew assisted with fire suppression. Utility 54 also responded to assist with traffic control.
