County dispatched Box 54-1 @ 15:17 for the crash with reported entrapment on Route 283 East Bound, east of Toll House Road. Chief 36(West Hanover FD) was passing by and stopped to check on injuries. He advised that he had a SUV that rolled down an embankment and was resting on its side against some trees with one patient still inside. Rescue 88 arrived and started to place rescue struts to stabilize the vehicle. Engine 54 arrived and pulled a CAFS protection line and additional rescue struts to stabilize the vehicle. Rescue 88 and Engine 54's crew pulled hydraulic tools and additional equipment off of both pieces to remove the rear hatch and roof to extricate the patient. Crews worked well together and tackled this challenging rescue job.
