Truck Fire

County dispatched Box 54-1 around 17:30 for a reported pick up truck on fire 283 West Bound at the Tollhouse Road exit ramp. Engine 54 went enroute with 6 and county advised that the truck was carrying a propane tank as well as some Acetone. Engine 54 arrived with a working fire in a Chevy 4 door crew cab dually with extension into the nearby grass and woods. The engine crew pulled a 200' 1 3/4" CAF line and knocked the fire down. Tanker 54 arrived and supplied the engine with a 2 1/2" line to top off their tank.

County dispatched Box 54-1 around 14:30 for a reported vehicle on fire 283 east bound just west of Tollhouse Road. Utility 54(Captain 1 Dupler) went enroute immediately from a detail and Engine 54-1(Chief 2 Kleinfelter) quickly followed. Utility arrived reporting a working fire. Engine 54-1 arrived and crews pulled a 200' 1 3/4" foam line and knocked the fire down. Tanker 54 arrived and connected a 2 1/2" supply line to engine 1. Crews remained on the scene until the arrival of PSP through the median (see the picture with part of the median strip on the front of the cruiser).
