Major
Building Update
December 23, 2008
The building construction is moving at a steady pace. The Radio, Chief, EMS, Executive, Training and Line Officers rooms are almost complete. The floors in the new men's and women's locker/bathrooms is being poured tomorrow. The old office has been gutted and the wall between the old office and the lounge has been cut to allow for a countertop separating the two rooms. Work has started on the handicapped bathroom in the social hall and the wall between the old engine bay and the new utility bay has been cut to allow a larger opening in front and behind the apparatus. The audio and video is being installed in the training room along with TV's in the offices.
Major Update
November 8, 2008
There has been a lot of progression since our last update. We decided to have the entire roof re-shingled to match the new shingles on the new addition and so that the whole roof will be good for 30 years and not try to guess on which years each section was last done. The parking area next to the new addition has been paved as well as the ramp in front of the new Utility bay. Inside the dry wallers are really moving and the interior painting will begin next week. The electrical contractor is working on getting the exterior panel boxes installed as well as the transfer switch for the generator. The existing bunkroom has been gutted and will take on the duties as a temporary office so that the contractor can start to demo the old office which will become the members kitchen. On the exterior the stone workers are moving along with the stone work on the side of the building and should finish up on the front next week.
