Into a Pole at Craig's
April 18, 2009
County dispatched Box 54-5 around 10:00 for an accident with injuries in front of Craig's Custom Motorcycles on Route 230. Engine 54(Chief 2 Kleinfelter) arrived with one vehicle into an electrical pole with no injuries. Crews checked the pole for damage and placed the box in service.

Into A Tree
April 18, 2009
County dispatched the second call of the day around noon on box 54-1 Colebrook Road in the area of the entrance to Crestview Village for an accident with injuries. Engine 54(Chief 2 Kleinfelter) arrived from training at TMI to find one vehicle into a tree with no injuries. Engine 54-1(Liuet. 1 Smith) arrived and assisted with depowering the vehicle and applying absorbent. The box was place into service.

Assisting on a Brush Fire

For the third time today county dispatched Engine 54-1 and the Tanker to assist Company 48(Hershey) in Conowago Twp. on Roundtop Road for a 2 acre woods fire. Engine 54-1(Chief 1 Nissley) arrived and went into the woods to assist crews with wetting down the perimeter and hitting hot spots. Tanker 54(Chief Shellenhamer) arrived and supplied water to various units operating at the scene. Units returned in about an hour.
